Our Story

The Demo Masjid was first established on November 30th 1994 and was located in a small office suite near the University of Wisconsin’s Madison campus.

In early 2012 a Shura Council was formed to act as the Board of Directors and to more appropriately manage the increasing number of functions served by the community center.

The focus of the Madinah Community Center has evolved far beyond being simply a place of prayer for Muslims and is now a central hub of activities and services filling the needs of the Muslim community in Madison. Besides regular religious services, current programs include educational classes and lectures for both adults and children, youth group programs, food and monetary support programs for the needy, and more.
